The 2011 Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup
is almost here!
Saturday May 7th, 8:30am-12 noon
A volunteer appreciation picnic will follow at Rancho San Rafael Park.
The Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup has been an annual event since 2001 and is a part of KTMB’s Open Space Cleanups. Each year volunteers mobilize to cleanup illegal dump sites and pull noxious weeds.
Things to know before you go:
- When: Saturday, May 7th from 8:30am-12 noon
- Where: See below for site locations
- When you get to the site: Look for the check in table. Sign in and get a lunch voucher. The Site Leader will be there to direct you where to go and what to
- Dress weather appropriately and wear comfortable shoes that can handle rocky terrain
- Please bring gloves
- A volunteer appreciation picnic will take place after the cleanup at Rancho San Rafael Park in the Chinese Pagoda Pavilion at 1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno
