KTMB at Artown
KTMB will be hosting some fun, eco-friendly activities in our Sensory Garden in Idlewild Park as a part of Artown! Join us at 5pm on Friday July 20 or 27 for some fun family activities in a beautiful setting.
KTMB’s 3rd annual Raise the River fundraising dinner
KTMB’s annual fundraising event, Raise the River is scheduled for Thursday, August 16 at 5:30pm. Join us for a fun evening that is sure to ignite your senses in the beautiful Sensory Garden located in Idlewild Park. There will be craft libations, entertainment, sensory activities and a sit-down dinner courtesy of chef Mark Estee. This year’s event is presented by NV Energy, our title sponsor. Get your tickets or table before they sell out! All proceeds from this event go to supporting KTMB’s education and outreach efforts in our community.
KTMB’s education program has been growing and we think it is about time we highlight some of the amazing educators we work with. This month, we would like to feature the following teachers for not only successfully completing all three of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful’s educational units this past school year, but for also teaching their students the importance of keeping our community (and planet) clean and beautiful for all to enjoy! It is because of these inspiring educators that we are closer to achieving our goal of cultivating future Waste, Weeds, and Watershed Warriors!

Moana Nursery & Seven Troughs Distilling Co.
We would like to extend a big Thank You to Moana Nursery and Seven Troughs Distilling Co. Not only are these two businesses key partners and sponsors for our annual Raise the River event, but they kicked things off last week by hosting a Cocktail Garden Party, teaching people how to grow and mix their own drinks at home, with all proceeds going to KTMB. We had a great time at this first-time event which sold out! Thank you Moana and Seven Troughs for helping to keep our community clean and beautiful!
KTMB is a 2018 The North Face Explore Fund Grant Recipient!
We’re excited to announce that Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful has been awarded a 2018 Explore Fund grant from The North Face!
We’ve been selected as one of only 40 organizations this year, among over a thousand applicants, to receive this grant. Thanks to the Explore Fund grant from The North Face, we are continuing to get more people from all backgrounds outside by supporting local cleanup efforts spearheaded by KTMB, including the Great Community Cleanup and Truckee River Cleanup.
Since 2010 The North Face has invested nearly $3 million with nonprofits helping remove barriers to exploration. We’re proud to be among the organizations that are changing how we think about outdoor participation, accessibility, and protection of the environment.
We’re thrilled and honored to be a 2018 Explore Fund grantee. Thanks again to The North Face for their support and congratulations to all of the 2018 Explore Fund recipients!
