KTMB has teamed up with the Nevada Department of Agriculture and the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection to bring you this season’s teacher training event: “How your students can become environmental stewards.”

This event is an opportunity for educators in the Truckee Meadows to gain access to STEM-inspired environmental science curricula and get a chance to learn from experts in the fields of waste reduction, watershed care, and invasive weed maintenance.

Participants are also provided with KTMB’s free-to-use Waste, Watershed, and Weed Warriors education units, in addition to an introduction to our Sensory Garden field trip program.

Located at the California Building in Idlewild Park. September 22, 2019 8:00 am-4:30pm. Participants receive 0.5 in-service training credits.

Lunch and snacks provided.

On Saturday, September 21st, NDEP is hosting a Project WET teacher training facilitated by local water resource professionals to teach about local watershed issues and solutions.
Sign up for both trainings, and you will be entered in a drawing for a fabulous prize!
