Let’s Talk Trash: ROT
October 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm| Free
Did you know what the 5th R is? Rot (or compost)!
Composting is an important integration to a Zero Waste initiative called the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot). Residents of Washoe County dispose of a large amount of organic waste including yard or green waste and food waste. These organic materials can easily be composted and turned into nutrient rich soil for your garden or indoor house plants.
KTMB, in partnership with TMCC, is hosting a multi-part series campus sustainability conversations! They will be held in the Red Mountain Building in room RDMT 256. The sustainability conversations are free to any community member as well as students and faculty. Light lunch will be served.
