Did you know that our community sends about 4,000 tons of trash to the landfill everyday during the winter and 5,000 tons during the summer? To put that into perspective, that’s the weight of 700 elephants, every day! But when we throw something away, does it really go away?

KTMB, in partnership with Truckee Meadows Community College, is holding a multi-series campus sustainability conversations! Please join us as we talk about trash and learn how it’s going to take more than just the 3Rs to help reduce our waste and impact on the environment.

The sustainability conversations will be in RDMT 256 (second floor of the Red Mountain Building) and are open to the community as well as TMCC students and faculty.

Light lunch will be served
