KTMB’s Adopt-A-Spot and Neighborhood Clean-Up Program
Neighborhood Clean-Up
Help us keep the Truckee Meadows beautiful by organizing a clean-up with your business or group. KTMB will provide trash pickers, trash bags, and tools for your clean-up. You provide the enthusiastic volunteers! We can coordinate these clean-ups in public parks, open spaces, residential neighborhoods, or along the river.
How it Works
Decide on some possible dates, let us know how many people you’ll have, any spots you have in mind, and what tools/supplies you might need to get the job done.
Fill out the KTMB Project Request Form.
Coordinate pick up of your supplies with KTMB.
When you’re done, return the tools and your Post-Clean-Up Report to KTMB, and enjoy your cleaner, more beautiful neighborhood!

Adopt-A-Spot Program
The Adopt-A-Spot program is an opportunity for businesses and community groups to invest in the health and beauty of our community. Adoptions are available in parks, along the Truckee River, or in an open space area.
How it Works
Adopters conduct at minimum of three clean-ups a year to keep the spot clean. You choose the dates! KTMB will provide you with all the tools (bags, gloves, shovels, etc.) and coordinate trash pickup. If there is a spot you’d like to adopt, just let us know and we’ll gladly work with you to make it happen! After your second clean-up, KTMB or our municipal partners will place a sign acknowledging the group’s commitment to the spot.
