What is KTMB?
Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to creating a more sustainable and beautiful region through waste reduction, education and active community involvement.
KTMB did some beautiful things in 2024 with your help.
KTMB is in its 35th year as a nonprofit organization, and we are asking for your help to get to the next level so we can tackle the uptick in illegal dumping as well as educate more people about the importance of our watershed and why we need to keep it clean. We are organizing even more cleanups for 2025. To do all that, we need your help. Our goal is to raise $50,000, and Wells Fargo has kickstarted our campaign with a generous $10,000 donation!
Organized and mobilized over 6300 volunteers;
We removed roughly 210 tons of trash and green waste;
Diverted almost 10,000 Christmas trees from the landfill;
Educated 3300 community members about recycling and sustainability efforts;
We could not have done all that work without the help of thousands of volunteers and donations from our supporters and sponsors. Thank you!

VOLUNTEER FOR KTMB’S CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING!

THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL DROPOFF WEEKEND AT BARTLEY RANCH ONLY, ON JAN. 11 AND 12.
If you love the smell of Christmas Trees, being outdoors, and doing good for your community, this program is for you! We need volunteers at our three staffed locations: Bartley Ranch, Reno Sports Complex, and Shadow Mountain Sports Complex. Two shifts are available daily, one in the morning from 9am to 1pm and an afternoon shift from 1pm to 4:30pm. Learn more at the Volunteer button below.
RECYCLE YOUR OLD CHRISTMAS LIGHTS WTIH KTMB AND GREATER NEVADA CREDIT UNION!
KTMB and Greater Nevada Credit Union are teaming up to help you finally get rid of that pesky ball of non-working Christmas lights. Starting December 2nd through January 6th, you can drop off non-working or unwanted Christmas lights to boxes at one of the six following Greater Nevada Credit Union locations for proper disposal.
