Enjoy the crisp air and fall foliage with KTMB on an interpretive River Walk in Mayberry Park from 10 to 11 am; we will explore local vegetation, nonpoint source pollution, and the importance of keeping our watershed healthy. Dr. Sarrah Dunham-Cheatham will join us, a Research Assistant Professor and Core Analytical Lab Director at UNR, and Dr. Monica Arienzo, an Associate Research Professor in the Division of Hydrologic Sciences at the Desert Research Institute (DRI), who will share their research on microplastics in the Truckee River Watershed. Read more about their research HERE. This educational River Walk starts on the east end of Mayberry Park with an interactive storytelling activity about the Truckee River Watershed. The event will end with an optional one-hour cleanup from 11 am-12 pm. All needed materials will be provided. The walking portion will cover approximately 1 mile.
