Come recycle your Christmas Tree with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful!
Limit the amount of festive decoration ending up in the landfill and avoid having trees become a fire hazard in the desert by bringing it to KTMB. The trees we collect are given a second life by being turned into mulch which is used for weed abatement and park beautification throughout the Truckee Meadows. Each year we recycle over 10,000 trees and yours could be one of them!
Between December 26th and January 10th, you can take your tree to be recycled at one of the following locations:
Bartley Ranch Regional Park - 6000 Bartley Ranch Rd. (Google Maps link)
Reno Sports Complex - 2975 N. Virginia St. (Google Maps link)
Shadow Mountain Sports Complex - 3300 Sparks Blvd. (Googe Maps Link)
TMFPD Station 32, Washoe Valley - 1240 East Lake Blvd (Google Maps Link)
TMFPD Station 46, Spanish Springs - 500 Rockwell Blvd (Google Maps Link)
TMFPD Station 440, Lemmon Valley
Need help getting your tree to one of these sites? The Boy Scouts can help! Register for a local boy scout troop to pick up your tree and deliver it to one of our recycling sites at Scouts4Trees.com!
KTMB’s Christmas Tree Recycling would not be possible without the help of our incredible volunteers and the support of the NV Energy Foundation.
