KTMB did some beautiful things this year with your help.
Organized and mobilized over 6300 volunteers;
We removed roughly 210 tons of trash and green waste;
Diverted almost 10,000 Christmas trees from the landfill;
Planted 60 trees and 3,400 native plants;
Educated 3300 community members about recycling and sustainability efforts; and
Educated 2,800 students about the importance of the Truckee River watershed and how to keep it healthy.
We could not have done all that work without the help of thousands of volunteers and donations from our supporters and sponsors. Thank you!
KTMB is in its 35th year as a nonprofit organization, and we are asking for your help to get to the next level so we can tackle the uptick in illegal dumping as well as educate more people about the importance of our watershed and why we need to keep it clean. We are organizing even more cleanups for 2025. To do all that, we need your help. We need to replace our truck. We use the truck to get to illegal dumpsites, haul tools to our volunteers, and pick up the trash they collect. We need maintenance, sharpening, and replacements of the tools our volunteers use for those cleanups. We need help renting dumpsters for trash and green waste. We need to replace aging electronics and software that helps us organize and mobilize our database of thousands of volunteers at area parks, neighborhoods, and illegal dumpsites.
Our goal is to raise $50,000, and Wells Fargo has kickstarted our campaign with a generous $10,000 donation! KTMB's team is small but mighty, and together with you - our partners, supporters, and volunteers - we do everything we can to further our mission of creating a more beautiful and sustainable region. You can help us reach our goals for an incredible 35th year at KTMB!
Any amount helps! Please consider a one-time or monthly recurring gift to help keep our Truckee Meadows beautiful. Thank you for your continued support.
